For one who has no interest even in the highest illumination, due to constant discernment, comes the samādhi called cloud of dharma.

This is one of the most sublime sutras. Prasaṃkhyāna is supreme understanding, the highest knowledge. But the true yogī is akusīda even toward this: without interest, without greed, without attachment.

When detachment is so complete that not even illumination is desired as personal possession, dharmamegha samādhi arises, the samādhi of the dharma cloud.

Dharma here means virtue, truth, or positive qualities. Megha is cloud. Like a cloud pouring beneficial rain equally on all, this samādhi pours grace and knowledge without discrimination.

It is a state of absolute generosity where there is no longer one who takes or retains. Consciousness, free from all appropriation, naturally pours forth as blessing.

This is the penultimate step before kaivalya: a state of such complete fullness that desire itself dissolves, including the desire for liberation.
