एतयैव सविचारा निर्विचारा च सूक्ष्मविषया व्याख्याता

etayaiva savicārā nirvicārā ca sūkṣma-viṣayā vyākhyātā

In the same way, absorptions with and without subtle reflection, which have subtle objects, are explained.

The states of savicāra and nirvicāra are analogous to savitarka and nirvitarka, but operate on subtle objects (sūkṣma-viṣaya) rather than gross ones.

Savicāra — Reflective absorption on subtle elements (tanmātras, the sense of ego, etc.) where there is still alternation of time, space, and causality.

Nirvicāra — Absorption beyond reflection, where even these categories are transcended and only the essence of the subtle object shines.

This progression leads toward increasingly refined levels of consciousness.
